A couple of weeks ago I went to a psychology conference in London. The guest speaker was Dr Philip Zimbardo, an american psychologist famous for his Stanford Prison expriment in 1971. Since then he has done further work into social psychology, including being involved in shocking cases of torture related to the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad. This had lead to his book titled “The Lucifer Effect- how good people turn evil”. The talk was extremely interesting and he is an inspirational psychologist, especially as he is still taking an active role in current psychology at the age of 79 and the work he is doing and programmes he’s running aim to change future psychology as well. And…He signed my book!!
